Microsoft has no intention of selling Xbox

Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, in his recent speech commented on the rumors regarding selling some branches of Microsoft. Some insiders claim that Xbox, Bing and Surface were in the risk group. But, according to the Microsoft CEO, there are no plans to sell Xbox.

«I have no intent to do anything different with Xbox than we are doing today» – Nadella answered the question about the possible sale of Xbox.

It is interesting that Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, in his recent interview to Fox Business Network announced his support for the idea of selling Xbox. But at the same time, Mr. Gates assured that selling this unit is not a strategically necessary step for the entire company.

The head of the Microsoft Game Studios, Phil Spencer also confirmed that the Xbox and Microsoft cooperation would be longstanding and productive. He said that «They're still driven by the creative juices inside the studios to make great things happen. In terms of Microsoft's commitment in the space, I know both Satya and Stephen Elop, I know them well. I've had explicit conversations with them about Microsoft's commitment to Xbox — they're extremely committed to Xbox»

In other words, it simply means that the situation was ruled by the line management of Xbox and Microsoft companies who have decided not to make any changes.
